Contest Queue is an application designed to make scheduling and managing singing contests simple and efficient. The core functionality is automatically scheduling your contest pattern. The "pattern", as we call it, is the schedule sheet of your competitors, where they are supposed to be, and when. With Contest Queue, you add your list of competitors and any warm up rooms you might use. Then you create a contest Session and drag your competitors into the queue in their order of appearance. When you save the Session is when Contest Queue will automatically build your pattern.
That pattern schedule is what is displayed throughout the app for your competitors and contest staff. Different UIs allow for each role to see the information they need most. For example, your competitors don't need to log in at all. Simply by viewing the contest pattern they can monitor in real time their own schedule.
The pattern schedule will automatically update as the contest progresses. The Stage Manager role will input when competitors go on and off stage. Using those times, Contest Queue will calculate if the contest is running ahead of schedule or behind. If it's running behind then each competitor's schedule will automatically adjust to take that delay into account.
The Stage Manager and Judges can also notify your entire team when they are ready for the next competitor with our two "Green Lights" buttons that automatically reset as each competitor goes on stage.
Contest Queue also comes with a way to check competitors in as they arrive for their scheduled pattern. If a competitor is late, Contest Queue will automatically visibly mark them in red. If you include competitor contact information when you setup your contest, then with a simple tap of a button you can call that competitor's primary contact.
